CLUB 54 - Thursday, August 25: Sustainable Growth!

SantaFe County is in the process of writing new land use codes that could dramatically change our community. Bi-partisan opponents claim that they will threaten private property rights, increase housing costs, restrict use of water and energy, and much more. Green Building Codes. Home Based Businesses. Open Spaces and Trails. How strict will these codes be and how will they affect you and the future of Santa Fe? Everyone who lives or works in Santa Fe County (includes the City) will be affected.

Jerry Powers, Moderator, is a realtor and rancher, and has been involved in educating Santa Feans on the impact of these new CODES for several years.

Howard Hutchinson is Executive Director ofthe Arizona/New Mexico Coalition of Counties. He is a leader in property rights, and environmental issues, and expert resource for state and federal legislators.
